The same Jesus whose love shone on the cross will one day sit on the judgment throne, and His presence will cause fear in His enemies!
Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of His miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.
~Matthew 11:20
We need to remember that the same Jesus whose love shone on the cross will one day sit on the judgment throne, and His presence will cause fear in His enemies. We will be judged by Him! So we need to love like Him! Look what some did to Him, even rejecting Him, mistreating Him, or not believing Him, although He performed miracles, they still killed Him. We need to remember life is not easy. As a person we can also be like Jesus, loving all, doing good, yet some think you have ulterior motives or just reject your love and kindness altogether, cancel you. I know it has happened to me before a lot, I always try to be so loving to all, sending text, showing interest, calling, texting, sending messages, and people just reject you or do not bother to respond. Although we are not always appreciated, like Jesus, we too have to keep loving, keep following His ways, reflecting, forgiving, imitating, and loving like Jesus, that is what really always matters!
The Mornings With God App today said, "Even Jesus didn’t always see immediate results from His work. So we shouldn’t get discouraged if our efforts don’t seem to make a difference right away. Sometimes there’s no visible harvest, and it’s not our fault. Jesus wasn’t to blame when His work didn’t always seem successful. But there’s something more: rejected grace eventually turns into judgment. Jesus had shown grace to these cities for a long time. He lived among them, performed miracles, and spoke truth directly to them. Yet they turned away and rejected His love. So now He rebukes them. Even when Jesus condemns, His words are filled with sorrow. But we shouldn’t think He’s incapable of being stern. The same Jesus whose love shone on the cross will one day sit on the judgment throne, and His presence will cause fear in His enemies." Found at: https://www.youdevotion.com/mornings/december/23
We need to turn from sin. We need to turn from hate and violence. We need to turn to love. To follow Jesus, to reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him, that is all that really matters in this life. We will be judged when Jesus comes back! So repent, turn from sin, and love, be like Jesus, He is going to judge us all some day, we can either please Him now in this life, or face His judgement, He wants us to love! He wants us to turn from sin! We should no want Jesus to denounce us. Accept the love and miracles Jesus left as an example for us, use them to make a difference in this world, on this Earth School journey, that is all we can and should do!
