Gratitude: All our whole life is thereby drawn under the light of His countenance, and is filled with a gladness, serenity, and peace which only thankful hearts can know!

Gratitude consists in a watchful, minute attention to the particulars of our state, and to the multitude of God’s gifts, taken one by one. It fills us with a consciousness that God loves and cares for us, even to the least event and smallest need of life. It is a blessed thought, that from our childhood God has been laying His fatherly hands upon us, and always in benediction; that even the strokes of His hands are blessings, and among the chiefest we have ever received. When this feeling is awakened, the heart beats with a pulse of thankfulness. Every gift has its return of praise. It awakens an unceasing daily converse with our Father,—He speaking to us by the descent of blessings, we to Him by the ascent of thanksgiving. And all our whole life is thereby drawn under the light of His countenance, and is filled with a gladness, serenity, and peace which only thankful hearts can know.

Gratitude: All our whole life is thereby drawn under the light of God's countenance, and is filled with a gladness, serenity, and peace which only thankful hearts can know! Are you counting your blessings each day, each moment? Are you grateful for all God does for you and gives you? Are you thankful? Do you know God is behind all of your blessings? You cannot do it on your own! We need to know God has us in His hands, He is blessing us daily, at all times with His love, faithfulness, and blessings! We need to live lives of prayer, gratitude, being positive, loving, and joyful in the Lord! It will always bring us happiness, serenity, and peace. We see so many today so unhappy, so negative, so full of hate, anger, violence, and wickedness. They lack God. They do not count their blessings, they do not pray for others,  they are slaves for Satan, following a groupthink of hate and evil, this is not of God or Jesus. A lady I knew from a blog always wrote so much bad about the liberal left and all they do, I told her she should pray for them, but she said she doesn't want to pray for these people. But we need to pray for all people. God wants us to. Sometimes many of us can be so stubborn, we do not want to pray for people we do not like or agree with, we show the same hate they do, but two wrongs do not make a right.  We need to stay on the track of God and Jesus, be on Team Jesus. We need to pray for others, count our blessings, be grateful, stay positive, loving, and joyful in the Lord! It will being us so much peace!
