My role model will always be Jesus!
My role model will always be Jesus! I read an article today called "Teacher Bans Kids From Picking Trump, Jesus, and Charlie Kirk as Role Models" by Todd Starnes Press. Todd Starnes is an award-winning journalist, best-selling author, and host of The Todd Starnes Radio Show. He wrote this article in the paper Harbinger's Daily. See the link below for the article. It was so sad to see and read. I actually sometimes see his show on Newsmax, he seems really good, and a good Christian man. I like his news show and reporting. When I read this article today, it made me sad that a teacher would be so woke to deny a student to write about a hero or role model without censoring the student. Some wanted to write about Charlie Kirk, others President Trump, and others about Jesus. But the teacher did not want that, she put limits on the students, not letting them write about those political figures or religious leaders. How sad! I was an educator for almost 40 years. I had thousands of students. I loved them all, but would never do what she did, this Kansas teacher/counselor. Why stymie a students creativity and position on something like this project. I actually think all three people are great role models, although Charlie Kirk and President Trump are more human and have their flaws and sins, imperfections, both are reasonable candidates being in the news today so much. But for me, I would definitely choose Jesus if I was asked to do this report on my role model. We are called by God to follow Jesus, to imitate Him! God wants us to follow Him, we are supposed to reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! He is the role model God gave us as His chosen people to follow! So what is wrong with being able to select Jesus to write about? I just do not know, nor understand. I write about Him everyday. I too was recently censored on youtube, I used to write comments about Christian and Christmas songs, thanking the singers for their music and discipleship sharing about Jesus and the miracles of God, but they said that what I comment on is scam, spam, and deceptive selling. How sad! Anyway, nonetheless, it is all fine, Jesus was rejected, cancelled too, so if I am for His namesake, no worries, I will die for Him too, like Polycarp, Paul, Peter, Stephen, and so many other martyrs. Jesus is my role model, I work daily to try to imitate and love like Him! If some do not want to respond back to me when I send them a Christmas card, emails, or text, then so it be, it is their loss, they can reject me or cancel me too, like they did to Jesus. If you want a pleasing life, one with peace, love, and Jesus in your heart as your role model, then follow Jesus, write about Jesus, imitate Jesus, just love like Him! Jesus is my role model, my hope, and my Salvation!
