Remember that these forty years the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness, so that He might humble you and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His commandments!

~Deuteronomy 8:2
I really liked this Bible verse reminder today. It is so true. We need to live well from the start of our lives, to be kind, honest, loving, filled with the Spirit of God, doing good, being like Jesus the best we can and knowing that when we live right from the start, then as we age, we have nothing to worry about, we do not have regrets, sins, or anything to hold us back or letting things from the past hold us from being the best we can. Many today have a lot of regrets from the past, an abortion, a theft, being in jail, being an addict, hurting someone else, then it complicates and makes all harder as we get older to carry all this from our past. So from the start it is important to be kind, loving church going, doing what is right, not sinning, nor being mean or hateful toward anyone.
The Mornings With God App today said, " Memory is an amazing thing. It’s like a vault where we store the experiences of our lives. An invisible hand records everything—what we do, think, and feel. We are the authors of our own memories, writing our own life stories. There’s a story about children being told that the sound they hear when holding a seashell to their ear is the echo of the sea, a reminder of the days when the shell lay on the shore. In a similar way, the sounds we hear in our hearts as life goes on are the echoes of our past. If we want those echoes to be beautiful, harmonious, and uplifting, we must live our lives beautifully, purely, unselfishly, and helpfully. Mistakes and sins in youth can create painful memories later on. The secret to a happy old age is living well, carefully, and thoughtfully from the very beginning. Any careless moment can leave a mark that saddens the years to come." Found at: https://www.youdevotion.com/mornings/january/2
I agree from above that mistakes and sins in youth can create painful memories later on. The secret to a happy old age is living well, carefully, and thoughtfully from the very beginning. Any careless moment can leave a mark that saddens the years to come. How have you lived? Can you change things now that can improve matters when you are older? Can you be kinder to others.? Respond to their texts and emails? Show love toward all people, even our President? Can you go to church? Read the Bible more? Follow Jesus more, reflecting, forgiving, imitating, and loving like Him more?
