Are you also being like Jesus, helping the sick and sinners who need a physician?
Jesus saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the customs post.
He said to him, “Follow me.”
And leaving everything behind, he got up and followed him.
Then Levi gave a great banquet for him in his house,
and a large crowd of tax collectors
and others were at table with them.
The Pharisees and their scribes complained to his disciples, saying,
“Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
Jesus said to them in reply,
“Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do.
I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners.”
~Luke 5:27-32
Are you also being like Jesus, helping the sick and sinners who need a physician? We are called to be like Jesus! To help others! To love them and guide them to God, to help them to turn from sin like Jesus did. He hung out with sinner! The Pharisees and priests did not like it, but most of them are hypocrites and even greater sinners oftentimes. Jesus did not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners. Jesus wants all of us to spend life eternal in Heaven with Him! We have that promise from Him when we follow Him! We are called to follow, reflect, forgive, imitate and love like Him! We are called to have great faith in Him, to follow Him! To help others, to bring them to repentance and to know God and be righteous too!
