I love this quote. I love all the quotes from Charles Spurgeon, a real Christian and lover of the Word of God! I so agree, we can not look to self, we need to look always to God. I could also add not to look to other humans either, as most will disappoint from time to time, they will hurt, hate, ignore, cancel, mistreat, and walk away from you often. God never will. He gave us Jesus to follow. Jesus is our example, our model how to live, we are called to follow Him! To reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! When we follow Jesus, when we have faith in Him, we are promised life eternal in Heaven with Him! Yes, to look to Christ is hope, joy, and eternal salvation for sure!
