Trying to solve things the way Jesus wants us to the best I can!
Jesus said to his disciples:
"I tell you,
unless your righteousness surpasses that
of the scribes and Pharisees,
you will not enter into the Kingdom of heaven.
"You have heard that it was said to your ancestors,
You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment.
But I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother
will be liable to judgment,
and whoever says to his brother, Raqa,
will be answerable to the Sanhedrin,
and whoever says, 'You fool,' will be liable to fiery Gehenna.
Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar,
and there recall that your brother
has anything against you,
leave your gift there at the altar,
go first and be reconciled with your brother,
and then come and offer your gift.
Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court.
Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge,
and the judge will hand you over to the guard,
and you will be thrown into prison.
Amen, I say to you,
you will not be released until you have paid the last penny."
~Matthew 5:20-26
Trying to solve things the way Jesus wants us to the best I can! I liked this Bible verse from yesterday's mass readings, it is a good one and a good reminder for me being that I am dealing with someone who smashed their car into mine at church recently. I am trying to settle this car damage with someone in the church parking lot who hit my car last week on Ash Wednesday. It has been so hard for sure. They dropped the ball, then I had to tell them to use their insurance then since they caused the damage and hit me. It has been very hard. I am trying to follow what it says here in this Bible Verse by Jesus, but it takes two. Praying it all works out. I do not want to have to use a lawyer or have a legal case, it is just not me and I do not think it is Christian like. It has just caused a lot of stress for me, so I am praying to God to help me deal with all the anxiety and stress and this person who could care less about me or the damage they caused. Their sin of impatience has really caused a lot of stress in my life. I know God will get me through it, I just need to trust in His timing and love and take one day at a time. That is all I can do. The Bible sure does have some good advice for us humans!
