We need to pray, we need to say the Our Father a lot, it helps so much and reminds us to forgive and accept the will of God in our lives!
Jesus said to his disciples:
“In praying, do not babble like the pagans,
who think that they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them.
Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
“This is how you are to pray:
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
“If you forgive men their transgressions,
your heavenly Father will forgive you.
But if you do not forgive men,
neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.”
~Matthew 6:7-15
We need to pray, we need to say the Our Father a lot, it helps so much and reminds us to forgive and accept the will of God in our lives! Today Jesus reminds us how to pray! We do not need to babble and ask for things as God knows what we need! We just need to say the Our Father, it says a lot, thanking Him for our food and life, telling us to forgive others, and to accept the will of God with everything. I have been having a lot of stress lately. Someone last week crashed into me backing out without looking. They did a lot of damage to my car. They said they would pay, it was at church and I trusted him, but now I am having to deal with his insurance company. Their company has been awful to work with, they never call back or write back, they have been the worst. It has been so frustrating for sure. Last night I tried to say the Our Father a lot to forgive this person and to help me sleep. I have had a hard time sleeping and eating since the accident, it is created a lot of anxiety, stress, and frustration in my life the past week. I like peace, but this man with his impatient sin created a lot of stress for me an innocent victim in all. I usually pray a lot, the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and the St. Michael the Archangel Prayer, those are my go to's. Pray the Our Father a lot, it helps so much! Internalize the words to the prayer!
