Cursed is the man who trusts in human beings, who seeks his strength in flesh, whose heart turns away from the LORD!
Thus says the LORD:
Cursed is the man who trusts in human beings,
who seeks his strength in flesh,
whose heart turns away from the LORD.
He is like a barren bush in the desert
that enjoys no change of season,
But stands in a lava waste,
a salt and empty earth.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose hope is the LORD.
He is like a tree planted beside the waters
that stretches out its roots to the stream:
It fears not the heat when it comes,
its leaves stay green;
In the year of drought it shows no distress,
but still bears fruit.
More tortuous than all else is the human heart,
beyond remedy; who can understand it?
I, the LORD, alone probe the mind
and test the heart,
To reward everyone according to his ways,
according to the merit of his deeds.
~Jeremiah 17:5-10
Yes, cursed is the man who trusts in human beings, who seeks his strength in flesh, whose heart turns away from the LORD! It is hard to trust a lot of humans today. So many lie, cheat, steal, hate, are corrupt, dishonest, are unhappy, living in misery, they always seem to disappoint. I know I have seen it the past few years. I know and handful of people and have heard and seen more in the news about all this cancel culture and hate. I have had some people I know cancel me. They allow their hate to blind them, to make themselves deranged and full of hate, negativity, and living in misery. If you do not join their club of hate, they just cancel you. Oh well, their loss! It am much better off without haters and negative people in my life! I do not need hater or anyone negative or hating on people. Yes, more tortuous than all else is the human heart, beyond remedy; who can understand it all the haters, negativity, and misery, people who cancel and disappoint. who needs it. We need to remember that blessed are those who are persecuted for God or Jesus' namesake, theirs is the kingdom of God! I am glad my parents raised me to know Jesus. To love all people. to not know hate at all. I just do not understand it. All I can say is trust God, follow Jesus, try to be like Him, imitate and love like Jesus, that is what matters if you want to get into Heaven. God doesn't want haters and people who live for things of this world in Heaven, that is for death, Heaven is for life! Will you pass the test?
