Hurt people often hurt other people! There is a real peril to impatience!

Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

 ~2 Samuel 9:3

It is true that here are many people who are emotionally or spiritually crippled because of someone else’s mistake. I know I was the past few weeks, someone smashed into my car on Ash Wednesday in the church parking lot, he caused a lot of damage, said he would pay, after I did the estimate, then he didn't want to pay me so I asked him to use his insurance. It has been so stressful, so much anxiety and frustration, then his insurance company has been so bad, non-responsive and makes so many errors. This has taken a real emotional toll on me for sure.

The Mornings With God App said, "It seems to have been the nurse’s fault. She ran with the baby, stumbled, and he was crippled for life. There are many people who are emotionally or spiritually crippled because of someone else’s mistake. They may not show it physically, but the damage is in their souls, and that’s far worse than any physical injury. Someone can have a physical disability and still be beautiful in character. But the crippling of a soul leaves a moral blemish that may last into eternity. It’s a terrible thing to cause someone to stumble, leaving them crippled and helpless for life. Worse still is damaging a life or character for eternity. We can’t be too careful about how we live. Jesus spoke solemn words about the person who causes a little one to stumble. If we live carelessly, we might do this. Let’s live always in the light of Christ." Found at: https://www.youdevotion.com/mornings/march/1

Sometimes people never realize that their errors, impatience, vices, and selfishness can cause so much pain to other people. I know the man who was reckless that backed into me did that to me. An alcoholic can do this to a spouse or loved one. A speeder cutting someone off and causing an accident hurting others acts recklessly and harmful. It is so true that the crippling of a soul leaves a moral blemish that may last into eternity. It’s a terrible thing to cause someone to stumble, leaving them crippled and helpless for life. Worse still is damaging a life or character for eternity. We can’t be too careful about how we live. We all need to be careful of errors, selfishness, impatience, vices, as they can all cause a lot of pain to others. We need to keep God first, Jesus on our mind, be in prayer all, and be careful not to hurt others in anyway by being selfish, impatient, reckless, and have vices that hurt the lives of others. We need to stay in the light of Christ for sure!
