Sacrifice and offerings are no longer needed since Jesus died for our sins!
Brothers and sisters:
It is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats
take away sins.
For this reason, when Christ came into the world, he said:
“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;
in holocausts and sin offerings you took no delight.
Then I said, ‘As is written of me in the scroll,
behold, I come to do your will, O God.’”
First he says, “Sacrifices and offerings,
holocausts and sin offerings,
you neither desired nor delighted in.”
These are offered according to the law.
Then he says, “Behold, I come to do your will.”
He takes away the first to establish the second.
By this “will,” we have been consecrated
through the offering of the Body of Jesus Christ once and for all.
~Hebrews 10:4-10
Sacrifice and offerings are no longer needed since Jesus died for our sins! Although the Jewish people do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah, He came to die for our sins, we no longer have to do sacrifices and offerings like the Jews did and still do today. We have been consecrated through the offering of the Body of Jesus Christ once and for all. No more sacrificing young heifers, or painting blood on the door post, or wearing sackcloth, we have Jesus, He died for our sins, we are called to repent, turn from sin, follow Jesus, and to reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! He is our model for living on this Earth School journey now. We need to follow Him! To imitate, and love like Him! With great faith, when we do, we are promised life eternal in Heaven with Jesus! Please stop sinning, stop hating, stop all the evil and wickedness and selfish ways. Follow Jesus, turn to Him and live like Him! The Word of God became flesh and made His dwelling among us; and we saw His glory!
