It stars Bette Davis and Lillian Gish as elderly sisters living on the Maine coast for the summer. The cast also features Vincent Price and Ann Sothern. It was the final film appearance for both Gish and Sothern, and the second-to-last appearance of Davis. It is an amazing movie. It makes you think. When you age, do you want to get old and bitter, sour, living in misery? Or do you want to live with a spark, with all your love and memories that you cherish and stay happy with joy in your heart? These sisters show these two sides. I loved the Lillian Gish, Sarah character. Libby got on my nerves a lot, always complaining, just so negative. The scenes from the movie are beautiful on the coast of Maine. I was surprised to see Vincent Price in the movie. Overall, this movie is a must see, it will warm your heart and make you think about your aging and how you want to live out your last years of life. Life is a miracle! Do you want to live into your senior years with a spark and joy or being angry, complaining, and living in misery? I see some of both in many older people I know. I loved Sarah's character! She lived a happy joyful life, she had a spark! This is the miracle from God we all need as we get older!
