Give thanks to God always, rid yourself of ego, selfishness, self-pity, and maybe some pot and a potty mouth!

Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord.

~ 2 Samuel 22:50

I love David from the Bible. I loved his faith in God and his songs or praise and all the Psalms. We need to always give thanks to God for all! I see too many people today fall into self-pity, hate, and negativity and forget to thank God for all in their lives. They focus on themselves and their hate and fall into self-pity and misery. I think it is so true, we need to give all glory to God, give Him all the praise always. Nothing in this life came by me alone. God gave me this life, He gave me so many miracles and blessings in my life, it all comes from Him! I know in my life, I give Him all the credit. I always have. I am blessed my parents raised us Catholic and brought us to church each week and to know Jesus. It has been the greatest blessing for me and all I have been able to do in my childhood, teen years, college, career, and all in life, it all was a blessing from God and I give Him all the credit for this! He has helped me so much, so many miracles, so many blessing! Thank you Lord for everything!

The Mornings With God App today said, "David’s song is filled with praise. He saw God’s hand in every part of his life. God gave him strength; God made his enemies retreat; God delivered him from the people’s strife. Many great military leaders write autobiographies that glorify themselves, explaining how they won certain battles, pointing to their own courage or strategy as the secret to their victories, and weaving for themselves a crown of honor. David’s autobiography is very different. He hides himself and honors God. We only become truly great spiritually when we are willing to be nothing so that God can be everything. We are just the vessels that God fills with blessings. No matter how much good we accomplish, it is God working through us and in us. The more we understand this truth, the closer we come to living out the highest possible Christian spirit." Found at:  https://www.youdevotion.com/mornings/may/12

We need to honor God more. Not have such egos and think it all was done by ourselves. We see this problem today in government, most of our elected are very self-serving, they take credit for all, but do very little, they are corrupted, greedy, envious, jealous, selfish, and just take and take, abusing their power. That is why we have so many problems today in our society and a huge national debt. We need to remember that no matter how much good we accomplish, it is God working through us and in us. The more we understand this truth, the closer we come to living out the highest possible Christian spirit. We need to have high standards, be upright and holy, not sin, not be selfish, not do things that hurt other people. I know it is not our place to judge, but for me seeing people who are pot heads, potty-mouthed, or selfish in their ways, and full of hate all are a huge turn off from me. I do not like to be around haters, wasted pot heads, or people who use foul language. or selfish people, we see a lot today smokers and dog owners who think it is their right to blow their smoke in your face or bring dogs to the beach or public places where it says no dogs, some people can be so uneducated in their behaviors, I know some who every other word is the F word when they talk, it just makes me cringe, I have never liked a potty mouth and I think it was because of my mom, she never liked it either and was a real prude. We all need to give thanks to God for all! I am grateful that God has given me a great life, career, family, faith, and overall life, I know it is all from Him! I am thankful too for my mother to teach me right from wrong and to have high standards and to strive to be the best! It is all about honoring God with our lives, and our mothers!
