Is your holiness showing in your life as you live it?

Holiness appeared to me to be of a sweet, pleasant, charming, serene, calm nature. It seemed to me, it brought an inexpressible purity, brightness, peacefulness, and ravishment to the soul; and that it made the soul like a field or garden of God, with all manner of pleasant flowers, that is all pleasant, delightful, and undisturbed; enjoying a sweet calm, and the gently vivifying beams of the sun. The soul of a true Christian appeared like such a little white flower, as we see in the spring of the year, low and humble on the ground, opening its bosom to receive the pleasant beams of the sun’s glory; rejoicing, as it were, in a calm rapture; diffusing around a sweet fragrancy; standing peacefully and lovingly in the midst of other flowers round about, all in like manner opening their bosoms to drink in the light of the sun.

—J. Edwards

Is your holiness showing in your life as you live it? I think this quote by Jonathan Edwards really makes one think a lot about how we are living. Are we showing a pleasant, charming, serene, calm nature about us as we live? Are we living in Spirit reflecting Jesus, imitating, and loving like Him? If we are flowers from God, are we pretty and smell good, being a delight for others to enjoy? Are you blooming where you are planted, letting God's sun shine on you to grow and bloom for the world? Smelling of a sweet flowery fragrance, showing peace and love in the midst of other flowers around? Are you drinking in the sun of God? Are you being prayerful, grateful, positive, loving, and joyful in the Lord? Living your best life now and blooming where you are planted for all to enjoy?
