Courtesy is always a sign of noble character. We should all learn the art of pleasing others!

I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation.

- Acts 24:10

Yes, courtesy is always a sign of noble character. We should all learn the art of pleasing others! Today however we do not see a lot of courtesy or others pleasing others. There is so much cancel culture and hate. So much envy, jealousy, and insecurities. We see so many with this woke groupthink, and if you do not join their club of hate, you are cancelled and persecuted, just hated too. Although you try to be nice, courtesy, pleasing and kind to others, some hate you for this, because you will not hate others, so they cancel you too. It is all sad to see, they all need our prayers. While we cannot judge, hate, or do what they do, we cannot join their club of hate either, we need to remain courtesy and pleasing, loving and kind, we are called to follow Jesus, to reflect Him, to forgive, imitate, and love like Him nonetheless even when others choose the path of hate and cancel culture.

The Mornings With God App today said, "Courtesy is always a sign of noble character. We see this in Paul as he stands before Felix. He compliments the governor—not in a flattering way, but with appropriate words. We should all learn the art of pleasing others. Some people are blunt, almost to the point of rudeness. Manners matter more in life than many realize. A lot of the accusations people make against others come from gossip or mere assumptions. That’s how the charge against Paul started. Someone saw him in the temple, and because Paul had previously been seen with a Gentile, Trophimus, on the street, people assumed Paul brought him into the temple. We must be extremely careful not to say anything about someone that isn’t absolutely true. Assumptions aren’t a solid basis for making accusations. The safest way to live is so carefully, truthfully, and purely that nothing anyone says against us can harm us." Found at:  https://www.youdevotion.com/mornings/june/21

I liked today's Mornings with God App messages, it is noble to be like Paul, to love all, to be courtesy and kind, trying to please all, but not joining any hate clubs. It is true that a lot of the accusations people make against others come from gossip or mere assumptions.  I saw this in my work a lot by colleagues. That’s how the charge against Paul started. Someone saw him in the temple, and because Paul had previously been seen with a Gentile, Trophimus, on the street, people assumed Paul brought him into the temple. We must be extremely careful not to say anything about someone that isn’t absolutely true. We need to rise above the hate, cancel culture, woke groupthink, and mediocrity and insecurity that we see today, to be more noble, kind, pleasing and courtesy nonetheless. Write back, call back, text back, love all and not be like them. What a great reminder today. Sometimes all we can do is pray for others and their hate, negativity, and misery, that they can see the light of Jesus, and want to follow, imitate, and love like Him!  How revolutionary is this thinking?!
