I love the mass readings for today! Follow God and do not swear! Some very good advice here for sure! We need to be willing to follow God when He calls us. Elisha was called to follow God and the prophet Elijah. May we never forget that You are my inheritance, O Lord! May we incline our hearts, O God, to your decrees; and favor us with your law! I love law and order, so I loved the messages here today. I also do not like swearing at all. I find it offensive and it diminishes a person and who they are when they swear. Today I see so many people, they care about having a nice house, a pristinely groomed yard, washed and waxed cars every other day, they take so much pride in things of this world, yet they are the same people that use the F-word nonstop and have to waste their time smoking pot and being high all the time. It is ironic, they take pride in things of this world to put on airs, but, they do not take pride in themselves or their health and wellbeing. It is hard to understand for sure! We need to have clear values that come from God! He does not want us to swear, it is clear here. He wants us to also follow Him! We see a lot of people on the wrong side of the tracks today, especially the liberal left, they push so much woke ideology with transgender surgery, abortion, men in women's sports, lawlessness with illegal immigrants, they take the side of the criminal over the victim, like with the lawless people fighting police and end of losing their lives being lawless and disobeying. Whey do they care so much about rescue dogs, yet push for killing so many babies with abortion? They have upside down thinking, not the thinking God or Jesus want us to have. Like Jesus says below, there is yes or no, right or wrong, that is it! They make so many excuses for sin and hate today, trying to justify it to the point of them looking as if they are mentally ill or deranged. Yes, I am for Jesus, I want to follow God, and I do not like people when they swear! I am inclining my heart to God and following only Jesus! Commit to God's service!

Reading 1
Elijah set out, and came upon Elisha, son of Shaphat,
as he was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen;
he was following the twelfth.
Elijah went over to him and threw his cloak over him.
Elisha left the oxen, ran after Elijah, and said,
"Please, let me kiss my father and mother goodbye,
and I will follow you."
Elijah answered, "Go back!
Have I done anything to you?"
Elisha left him and, taking the yoke of oxen, slaughtered them;
he used the plowing equipment for fuel to boil their flesh,
and gave it to his people to eat.
Then he left and followed Elijah as his attendant.
