Are you living for things of this world or things of the Spirit world and Heaven?

Though I sympathize, I do not share in the least the feeling of being disheartened and cast down. It is not things of this sort that depress me, or ever will. The contrary things, praise, openings, the feeling of the greatness of my work, and my inability in relation to it, these things oppress and cast me down; but little hindrances, and closing up of accustomed or expected avenues, and the presence of difficulties to be overcome,—I’m not going to be cast down by trifles such as these.

Are you living for things of this world or things of the Spirit world and Heaven? Are you cast down by trifles of this world? I know today we see a lot of people who are. So many live for things of this world. We see so much sin and hate today, so many excuses for sin. They care more about a fancy house, a pristine yard, a high end jeep, they care so much about things of this world, but the same people smoke pot all day, every other word they use is the F-word, they hate their neighbors and president, complain about all, live in misery, are full of hate and negativity. It is sad to see, they need our prayers. Yes, we can sympathize, but do not live for things of this world! Some care so much about things of this world, or hate so much, are blinded by their hate, they put on airs, do things to be in the cool crowd, yet do not care about their souls or own health or reputation with all the hate, pot, and F-words. Some care more about things of this world, they let their hate for the president blind them. Instead of living like Jesus, loving like Him, making getting into Heaven our number one priority is what God wants for us in service to Him! While we may face troubles in this life, we have Jesus to help us, He is our model to follow, we can trust in Him, try to live like Him, try to not let things of this world bring us down, we need to live in Spirit, for things of Heaven, not for things of this world. We need to follow Jesus, reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! Don't let things of this world depress you or hold you back, Jesus promises us life eternal in Heaven, we need to live in Spirit! We should not share in the least the feeling of being disheartened and cast down in this life, we need to stay joyful in the Lord always and live for our life eternal in Heaven, our joy in Him is our strength! We need to live for Jesus!
