More on sin: Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people!

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

—Proverbs 14:34

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

⏤  1 John 1:9

Forgiveness is the grace that draws us close, keeping us humble and pure.

⏤ F.B. Meyer

Here is some more on sin from the Mornings with God App today. It is so true, sin is such a problem today. But no one wants to talk about it, most like to make many excuses for sin and hate. They try to justify all the sin today, abortions, hate, corruption, fraud, vulgar language, drug abuse, just so much sin today and so many excuses to try to justify it as okay. But it is not! God wants us to turn from sin, to follow Jesus and be like Him!

The Mornings with God App today said, "Father, we confess that we have fallen short in many ways, and we ask for Your grace and mercy. You have promised in Your Word that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So, we come to You now with confession, asking You to shine Your face upon us and grant us Your peace. You have kept us safe through the night, protecting us from all harm. We thank You and ask for more of Your blessings and grace today. Help us to make this day a beautiful and worthy one. May we complete every task, fulfill every duty, and do all things with love and care. Guide us in our interactions with others, making us gentle, thoughtful, charitable, and unselfish. Help us to be useful, comforting others in their pain, and bringing peace wherever we go. Give us patience and strength in all our trials and challenges. May we endure difficulties with calmness and grace. Let us pass through temptations unharmed, just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego passed through the fiery furnace without being burned. May we live in this world without being harmed by it. May our love for You grow stronger every day, drawing us closer to You as we journey through life. Let the hope of Heaven lift our spirits and ennoble our lives. As we go into this day, help us serve You faithfully and truthfully. Breathe upon us and fill us with Your Spirit. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen." Found at:  https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/89/morning

Yes, we all fall short, we all sin. But when we know it is wrong and try to correct it and become more righteous is one thing, while other times just sin and sin and keep making excuses for it. Some push so much abortion and killing babies, and to try to justify it all, they become supporters of saving rescue dogs, they care more about dogs than human being babies. We try to justify so much sin today, like with pot and alcohol abuse. We cheat, steal, and think it is okay to cheat and stay for two or three movies, but only pay for one. We forget that all this sin, all this hate, all this negativity and misery will not help us get into Heaven. We need to repent, turn from sin, and follow Jesus, be like Him! He wants us to be more righteous, to have a hope for Heaven, being faithful and truthful in God not sinning! Yes, we need to let the hope of Heaven lift our spirits and ennoble our lives!
