True Friendship: Jesus Christ is the only friend who will never fail you. True friendship is rare, but it is the shadow of divine love!

Jesus Christ is the only friend who will never fail you. True friendship is rare, but it is the shadow of divine love! It is true that when human friends fail you, hate you, or cancel you, it brings you closer to God, knowing that God will never do what humans do. I have seen in recent years so much hate, and if you do not join the clubs of hate, you are cancelled too, classified as someone who will not join their club of groupthink. I have had many, most from my past work since retiring who have turned friendship into hate and cancel culture. They cancelled me. Others I have known too, due to political difference and ideologies, if you do not agree with them, you are cancelled. I have had friends be very nasty to me, telling me they didn't like that I was Catholic, or supported a political view, or was against abortion, they hate you. I helped so many from work get publications over the years, so many, yet they all abandoned me, maybe due to envy, jealousy, and mostly I think insecurities, I supported them, did most of the work, used my research theme, yet they cancel you. A lot do not like me talking about Jesus or my faith. I even went to visit an old colleague who had a stroke and showed love and kindness then took the time to report to others who know her of her condition, they dismissed me for doing this too, you cannot be too nice, kind, loving, or genuine, others just do not like it ironically. Humans are funny like this, but St. Mother Teresa says do it anyway, we are called to be like Jesus. I know He is my friend for sure, God has been so good to me over the years. I am blessed with a wonderful family, all of them are there for me for the most part, friendly and good, many nieces and nephews, one aunt left, and my Godmother, all kind, loving, and friendly. While some old friends from work and my years living in Palm Beach and knowing people have dismissed me or cancelled me. I still have friends I stay in touch with from when I was a teacher in Mexico, Colombia, and my doctoral work in Alabama. I can call or write them, and count on them. My spouse too, we have been together now since 1999, married in 2014, and are so blessed and good friends, we are friends in Christ too, going to church each week, saying rosaries daily, and praying before meals, we both know Jesus and love Him and appreciate His love and sacrifice for us. We choose to follow Christ, not haters, cancel culture, groupthink, hate clubs. If someone cancels you, look at it as a blessing. Pray for them. But know that Jesus will always be your friend, humans will always disappoint, but God never will! Our best friend really is Jesus!
