Woe! Be careful not to covet and be evil!

Woe to those who plan iniquity,
and work out evil on their couches;
In the morning light they accomplish it
when it lies within their power.
They covet fields, and seize them;
houses, and they take them;
They cheat an owner of his house,
a man of his inheritance.
Therefore thus says the LORD:
Behold, I am planning against this race an evil
from which you shall not withdraw your necks;
Nor shall you walk with head high,
for it will be a time of evil.
On that day a satire shall be sung over you,
and there shall be a plaintive chant:
"Our ruin is complete,
our fields are portioned out among our captors,
The fields of my people are measured out,
and no one can get them back!"
Thus you shall have no one
to mark out boundaries by lot
in the assembly of the LORD.

~Micah 2:1-5

This Bible verse in Micah today as the first reading in mass hits home. We need to remember as humans not to covet things of others or want what they have, or take their things or do evil. Today we see a lot of evil. It is sad to see. I pray for all people like this. I see so many who hate, they have so much profound hate in their hearts, almost as if blinded by hate, not knowing why they hate, it is ignorance of course. Where I live we have so many vacant lots, I see so many people invading other property that is not even theirs. They put their boats on land that is not theirs, cut down trees, use the vacant lot as if it is theirs with so much junk. Why do people think it is their right to covet the property of others? Then we see other people who want to have the perfect house, pristine law, yet are always shouting, fighting, using the F-word, and smoking pot. Many put on airs, to impress or try to show influence, yet have dirty souls and mouths. It is sad to see all the hate today, the TDS, so many blinded by their hate and ignorance, making so many excuses for sin, trying to justify killing babies, lawlessness, and drug abuse, it is all very sad to see, illogical, and irresponsible. We cannot get back what we lose, that is why we need to live upright lives, we need to learn not to be evil, hate, covet, and sin. While it may seem like a cruel senseless world, it really is not, it is only people who disappoint and hurt, people who covet, hate, sin, and do evil they ruin it for all others. But we serve a great God, He gave us Jesus as our model to follow, we are called to reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! Reading the Bible, going to church, following the ways of Jesus will never put you on the wrong path of evil, if you stay fixed on Him, loving like Him, doing what is right!
