You do not have to join them to love them and be the best you can be for others and the world!
If meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth.
- 1 Corinthians 8:13
Today it is true, so many people are very selfish. They do not think of others often times. We see it daily in our outings, in stores, driving, at the gym, beach, etc. So many people do not follow the rules or think of others. Today a lady was driving out of a street I was entering, but I couldn't enter, as she was in my entrance lane, she didn't think cars might also come into that street, it is a two lane road, she was just being selfish and inconsiderate. It happens a lot. At the beach it says, no dogs, but people are selfish, break the laws, and bring them anyway, or play music loud, smoke, drink, do all they are not supposed to do there. Today a lot of people use and abuse drugs and alcohol, then the hurt others. My spouse from Colombia said that all who use and abuse drugs here in this country are to blame for all the problems in now unsafe narco towns in Colombia, or Mexico or wherever, this all has consequences so far away, drugs cause a great deal of harm to our society as a whole.
The Mornings With God App today said, "It’s not enough to know that something isn’t wrong, that we have the right to do certain things. If we were the only people in the world, with no one else to consider, it would be easy to decide what we can and can’t do. But other people are always around, and we have to think of them when making decisions. A person might have the right to play loud music in their house every night until midnight. It’s their house, and they can do what they want. But if there’s a sick neighbor who’s disturbed by the noise, what should they do? That’s when love steps in and tells them to give up their “right” and sacrifice their enjoyment for the sake of someone else. Love is demanding. It asks us to give up our rights, our pride, and our comfort—nothing can stand in its way." Found at: https://www.youdevotion.com/mornings/july/16
As a society, we need to always think of others. Not be selfish and just think of our own needs, but of others. To help the homebound and shut ins. I did for years. To assist at the senior centers, which I did for over twenty years. We need to live and sometimes make sacrifices for others. I know my mother did that a lot for all of us growing up. Parents often have to. Today we see so many full of hate, some with TDS, they make so many excuses for sin and their hate. I have seen it, I just do not like to engage with haters, and won't join hate clubs or close-minded, ignorant, and unintelligent people who hate, it is not healthy to be around for sure. It is true, we need to forgive, we need to love, we need to make sacrifices sometimes, sometimes we need to know that Covid and the Vaccine hurt a lot of people, it is not their fault, they need our prayers and help for sure. The bottom line though, we need to think about others, to love all, to forgive all, and try to get along. When we are following Jesus, trying our best to reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him!
