Jesus performs a miracle, He wants us to eat and drink of Him! He also wants us to follow, reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! Are you reading the Bible? Following the word of God? This week the mass readings are clear, plus the Gospel shows up in four books, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, this same miracle, it is important. Jesus performs a miracle, He feeds thousands, no wonder this reading is so important and shows up in four books in the Bible. It is important, it shows us that Jesus wants to feed us, He wants us to drink from Him! He is very clear, He says that "One does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes forth from the mouth of God." Are you reading and heeding His word? Are you reading the Bible, are you following Jesus? The readings are clear today, in the first reading by Isaiah says come to God. The Gospel reading says the same, to follow Jesus! What a blessing! The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs! We need to remember this in life. We cannot be separated from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord when we follow Him! Do you believe in miracles? This miracle is very important, it shows up in four Gospels. We need to follow Jesus, He can feed us, and quench our thirst, we need to follow the word of God! We need to heed His calling on our lives! If we do, we can have life eternal, everlasting in Heaven with Jesus! Will you allow Jesus to perform miracles in your life today? God answers all our needs, all we need to do is believe in Him! All we need to do is follow Jesus, reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him!

come to the water!

Brothers and sisters:
What will separate us from the love of Christ?

nor angels, nor principalities,

Matthew 14:13-21

When Jesus heard of the death of John the Baptist,
he withdrew in a boat to a deserted place by himself.
The crowds heard of this and followed him on foot from their towns.
When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd,
his heart was moved with pity for them, and he cured their sick.
When it was evening, the disciples approached him and said,
“This is a deserted place and it is already late;
dismiss the crowds so that they can go to the villages
and buy food for themselves.”
Jesus said to them, “There is no need for them to go away;
give them some food yourselves.”
But they said to him,
“Five loaves and two fish are all we have here.”
Then he said, “Bring them here to me,”
and he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass.
Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven,
he said the blessing, broke the loaves,
and gave them to the disciples,
who in turn gave them to the crowds.
They all ate and were satisfied,
and they picked up the fragments left over—
twelve wicker baskets full.
Those who ate were about five thousand men,
not counting women and children.
