We all need to be careful not to be hypocrites with our hate and judgement, our elitism, and self-proclaimed righteousness!

Jesus said,

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites.

You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside,

but inside are full of dead men’s bones and every kind of filth.

Even so, on the outside you appear righteous,

but inside you are filled with hypocrisy and evildoing.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites.

You build the tombs of the prophets

and adorn the memorials of the righteous,

and you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors,

we would not have joined them in shedding the prophets’ blood.’

Thus you bear witness against yourselves

that you are the children of those who murdered the prophets;

now fill up what your ancestors measured out!”

~Matthew 23:27-32

We all need to be careful not to be hypocrites with our hate and judgement, our elitism, and self-proclaimed righteousness! It is something that all of us can be guilty of and we need to watch out how we live, speak, behave, and judge. Jesus saw in the priests, Pharisees, and scribes their hypocrisy. They love to act like they are sinless, and judge others, yet, they too are hypocrites and are full of sin and are not practicing what Jesus taught us how to be, humble, sinless, and upright. Today we see so many like this. They are elitist, up in their ivory tower acting like they are above the rest, or they know best. Some push all this woke ideology, or want you to join their club of hate or groupthink, and if you don't you are cancelled and hated too. I have seen what Jesus spoke about here directing it to the priests and church leaders in my life too. We have seen it, we had a priest at our church who spoke so well, knew the Bible, yet did not practice at all what he preached, he would ignore his parishioners and we would see him after church or in the gym and he would completely ignore you, avoid you, or was indifference. One of the deacons at our church now walks down our street in front of our house, we have seen him at church many times, he has seen us, but he refuses to look at us, stop and say hi, we can be feet away, he will look the other way, have nothing to do with us, almost like the priest in the story of the Good Samaritan, he looks the other way and crosses the street so to not help the poor injured in the road. How sad! We all can be guilty of this hypocrisy. We are not supposed to judge as it says in Matthew 7, Jesus doesn't like us judging, but He knew too about all the hypocrisy by all of us, especially the self righteous church leaders who think they are above all. We see this a lot today with the liberal left, they have become elitists and "know it alls," they know best no one else, yet, they are blinded by hate and show so much hypocrisy and then their flawed logic of their woke ideology, with so many excuses for sin, and lawlessness. We really all need to be careful of how we live! What we say, do, and how we judge others. Are we making excuses for sin, lawlessness, and hate? Do we think we are better or know best? Like with all the murdering of unborn babies, just so many excuses for it all, so much hypocrisy, they care about saving rescue dogs, but what about human babies? Today we see so many supporting the bad as something good, and the good as something bad, calling some racists, fascist, and hating others you disagree with, so much name calling and attacks. We need to be careful of all of this! Jesus wants us to love! Love all! We are called to follow Jesus, to reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! We are called to turn from sin and evil, and to have great faith in the promise God gives us through Jesus Christ! I love when Jesus speaks! He is so good at pointing out all of us hypocrites and how we need to change and follow Him! All of us! Inner beauty is more important to God, than outside appearances, stop trying to keep up with appearances and thinking that you are always right!
