Pilate... released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus... to be crucified.
~Mark 15:15
Pilate’s position was a tragic one. He probably felt honored to be made governor of Judea, but the responsibility of that role led to his downfall, we see a lot of the same today with our crazy government, radical judges, and upside down flawed logic and lawlessness! Today we see similar things happening, we see people taking the side of killers instead of the innocent. People care more about saving rescue dogs over unborn babies in the womb. Like today people prefer to persecute or lock up someone innocent for speaking the truth, yet release a killer back on the street, or someone who has committed a crime who is here illegally, protecting them although they are criminals. People make a lot of excuses for sin and lawlessness. They make so many excuses for being high on pot or using the F word, hating others or straying from God. We are living in an upside down world of evil groupthink, a woke ideology that seems very flawed for sure. A lot of it comes from insecurities more than anything. We would rather kill someone like Jesus and let a criminal be set free, what is going on in our world today?
The Mornings With God App today said, "Pilate’s position was a tragic one. He probably felt honored to be made governor of Judea, but the responsibility of that role led to his downfall. When he was summoned early that April morning, he didn’t realize it would be his day of judgment. He had no idea he was about to make a decision that would forever mark him with shame. It would have been far better for him to have never been governor than to make the terrible mistake he made that day. Instead of asking, “What is right?”—the only question a judge should consider—Pilate asked, “What will benefit me?” That’s where he lost everything. Now, he is known throughout history as the judge who knowingly sent an innocent man to be crucified. Some have imagined Pilate constantly washing his hands, but no matter how much he scrubs, the stain will never come off." Found at: https://www.youdevotion.com/mornings/september/5
A lot of so called leaders today will go down in history with the same type of tragedy that Pilate did. Today we see judges allowing the release of criminals, and then they go right back out and kill someone else. They have blood on their hands too. It is so sad, and quite heart breaking for sure. We make a lot of excuses for sinners and sin today. So many hate, want you to join their hate clubs, if you don't you are cancelled. It you do not fall in line with the woke groupthink today, you are completely cancelled and banned, censured, or cancelled, youtube does it, I know, it happened to me, many woke companies do it, some banks have done it to people due to politics. Some radical left judges block everything the government and President want to do, just out of hate, TDS, or not liking him. They use words like king, dictator, nazi, fascist, etc. If people support law and order today in our country or world, you are looked upon as a freak or fascist. It is all very sad to see. The devil is controlling many, so many have become slaves for Satan today, they make so many excuses for sin and hate, for lawlessness, and heinous crimes supporting killers over victims like with Charlie Kirk. How sad! Our county and world need our prayers for sure! We make so many excuses for hate, fraud, cheating, killing, lawlessness, so many illegal and illicit acts, just because you hate someone you think it is okay to cheat, steal, and lie. What will your legacy be? Will it be for life? For law and order? For being upright and holy? Will we compromise our names, titles, positions to allow evil and false judgement toward others or will we stand up for principles and integrity? It is all something we need to think about! Do we want to follow Jesus, to reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him? Or do we want to be slaves for Satan falling for the trap that Pilate did siding with a criminal like Barabbas over Jesus to please people?
