With God's timing, there are no mistakes. Every man is immortal until his work is done!

God used John the Baptist for very important reasons. He did his work while he was young, calling people to repent, being ready for the Messiah, Jesus, he spoke the truth, which was harsh when he pointed out sin, like the sin of the King, who his wife then had him killed, beheaded, she did not like that he pointed out their sin. God uses all of us for reasons, oftentimes unknown until a later point in the picture. We are all here for a reason. To teach lessons, to be disciples, to do the will of God. I know that God used me in my first career as a math educator, I was able to offer so much, many articles, students, service, and research on it all. Now in my second career, God is using me to do this blog, to share the love of Jesus and how we need to follow Him! With it, yes comes persecution, hate, jealousy, envy, insecurities, and cancel culture. God knows we all have to suffer, especially when we work to promote Him!

He sent the apostles out to teach and heal, but allowed John the Baptist to be captured, imprisoned, and ultimately killed. We should be willing to serve our Master in whatever way He leads us. He may call us to a long life of active service, or He may ask us to honor Him by enduring persecution and hardship. John's life seemed like a failure. He preached for only a few months, yet he was a great preacher, with hundreds coming to hear him. His murder seemed like a tragic waste, an irreparable loss for the kingdom of God. But John's work was complete—he had done all he was sent to do. There was no reason for him to live any longer. What do you think God has you here for? Are you a disciple for Christ? To be a President? Scientist? Saint? Teacher? Doctor? Writer? What is the mission God has created for you? Are you accepting His will be done. Will God give you a long life? Or short? Will you have a long mission like St. Mother Teresa did? I know my mother was put here for her children, she did all for her children and grandchildren, serving, loving, and always being there. We all have lesson to teach and learn. Are you honoring God, following Jesus, reflecting, forgiving, imitating, and loving like Him? Are you living for this world or for Heaven? Money and material goods or spiritual ones? We can all see what happened to John the Baptist and Jesus, they both had missions. We do too! Will you honor God too like they did? We need to do it for our soul!
