Jesus asks, Is the inside of you filled with plunder and evil?

After Jesus had spoken,
a Pharisee invited him to dine at his home.
He entered and reclined at table to eat.
The Pharisee was amazed to see
that he did not observe the prescribed washing before the meal.
The Lord said to him, “Oh you Pharisees!
Although you cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish,
inside you are filled with plunder and evil.
You fools!
Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside?
But as to what is within, give alms,
and behold, everything will be clean for you.”

~Luke 11:37-41

Jesus asks, Is the inside of you filled with plunder and evil? This is from the Gospel today in the Catholic mass. A great Bible verse and reminder for all of us. We may look all nice and clean on the outside, trying to keep up appearances making others think we are clean and upright, but on the inside we are very dirty, full of sin, hate, negativity, greed, corruption, fraud, dishonesty, hypocrisy, and just so much evil. You can see it today in many, people have the best house, perfectly cut yard/lawn, they have clean new cars, a nice boat, RV, antique car,  they have so much, love to keep up with the appearances on their block, but inside they are filthy, they are smoking pot all the time, every other word is the F word, they covet their neighbors property throwing all their trash and yard debris on someone else's land, they are loud, needy, and inconsiderate of others around them. They are so dirty inside filled with so much plunder and evil. They hate their neighbors and cheat the system, although they like people to think they are going to play golf today and are so important and better than most. We are all allowing our egos and selfishness take over, and yes, like Jesus said, the outside looks so clean and nice, but the inside is full of sin, selfishness, hate, and evil. Jesus raises a very good point, we all need to look at the inside, remove the log blocking our view. Today we see so many blinded by hate, they let it drag them down in the process. Give alms Jesus says! Count your blessings! Think of others! Pray for others and this world. Sin is real, we are all guilty of it. Stop trying to cover it up from the outside, do something to clean your inside. Are you only showing a clean outside? Will you live a wise life or a foolish one, will you let sin keep you dirty inside while you try to keep up with appearances?
