Jesus, Paul, John the Baptist, Rabbi Schneider, so many have worked so hard to bring all to God, to turn from sin, to accept Jesus, follow Him, and love like Him!
Brothers and sisters:
For freedom Christ set us free;
so stand firm and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery.
It is I, Paul, who am telling you
that if you have yourselves circumcised,
Christ will be of no benefit to you.
Once again I declare to every man who has himself circumcised
that he is bound to observe the entire law.
You are separated from Christ,
you who are trying to be justified by law;
you have fallen from grace.
For through the Spirit, by faith, we await the hope of righteousness.
For in Christ Jesus,
neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything,
but only faith working through love.
-Galatians 5:1-6
I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
~Jeremiah 29:11
Jesus, Paul, John the Baptist, Rabbi Schneider, so many have worked so hard to bring all to God, to turn from sin, to accept Jesus, follow Him, and love like Him! We are all called to be disciples for Jesus Christ, to bring all to God, teaching them to repent of their sins, turn from all hate, evil, and lawlessness, and be like Jesus, to love like Jesus. I thought about this reading from today and then I saw a connection to the Discovering the Jewish Jesus Show today, where Rabbi Schneider was talking about his new website, jews.com. He is sharing the good word and working toward bringing more people to Jesus. He wants them to know and accept the Messiah, Jesus Christ as our Savior. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, He is the only way to Heaven. I know I pray everyday for 100% conversion to Christianity in the entire country and world. Us Christians feel it is the one and only true religion. This reading reminded me of all Paul did, and all the disciples, and the example God gave us in Jesus to follow Him! If we want true freedom in this life, it is all about following Jesus, reflecting, forgiving, imitating, and loving like Him! When we do with great faith, turning from all sin, we are promised life eternal in Heaven with our Maker! Jesus was Jewish too, and we need to follow Him! We need to love like Him!
