Blessed to Know God and Working Toward Spending Eternity with Him in Heaven!

If our life is not a course of humility, self-denial, renunciation of the world,
poverty of spirit, and heavenly affection, we do not live the lives of Christians.

⏤ William Law

Wow! What a quote! I saw it today in my Morning Prayer app! It really kicks you in the butt! So so true! So many people say they are Christians or Catholics, but then do not walk the walk, many can talk the talk and say one thing, but to walk the walk and be Christian is another! We see even some of our elected who say they are Catholic, yet push abortion and the killing of innocent, voiceless, helpless babies so much! How can this be Catholic. We have our Catholic priest, Father Matthew where we go to church here who we see at the gym regularly, but he ignores us, avoids us, and will not even look at us even when you say "hi" to him, and he is a Catholic priest, can you image that? Many today can talk the good talk, but they do not show or live their lives like real Christians. St. Mother Teresa wrote a book about all of this too, she says the same thing in the book that William Law says in his quote, it is a course of humility, living with a poverty mindset spirit. We need to make our goals in life, our aim, our objective be to spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus, that should be our goal in life, to live a life like described above and self-deny and renunciate all of this world. There is nothing in this world we need to take with us or gain, not titles, money, material things, or carnal desires. where we are going is something so much better to spend eternity with Jesus Christ. That is the real blessing of grace we can obtain if we live our lives like William Law describes. We are more blessed when we do!
