Our Citizenship is in Heaven! Blessed When We Focus Only on God!

Our kingdom is not of this world. Our citizenship is in Heaven. Our life, our work, our service, our hardships here are only brief and passing incidents on the way to the true life, the true city, in the true kingdom that cannot be shaken.

-H. A. Baker

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives.
And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

-Philippians 3:20

Our Citizenship is in Heaven! Plain and simple, not of this country or world! We belong to God, He is our King and Savior and we are going to spend eternity with Him in Heaven soon! In Revelations, Heaven is described very well. So beautiful! WE never need to worry about anything from this world, this Earth School, it is all preparation for our Heavenly world with Jesus Christ in Heaven! Do not become consumed by this crazy world, people, and so called leadership. They are what are important. My spouse reminded me of this again today, and I have been reading this book by H. A. Baker and it shares how they started a rescue of young boys in China and were Christians and how the books felt the Holy Spirit of God and knew Him and could see Heaven and even some boys who had passed away that were there. The book about these visions is fascinating and the young boys describe Heaven so vividly. What I liked about the book on page 61 is the quote about what Heaven is like described in this book. We all need to remember that we are not of this Earth and world. We are going to a better place. Don't be consumed by money and carnal desires, by an greed, jealousy, power, ego, selfishness here, live for God, do good, be upright and work and make your main objective in life to get into Heaven since you are a citizen of Heaven alone, focus on God! We are more blessed when we think this way!

The Bakers started  the Adullam Rescue Mission for street children in Yunnan Province, China. The children in the home, mostly boys aged from six to eighteen, had a revival during which they had visions of heaven, Paradise, angels, and even hell. The children also had visions of the Antichrist, the Rapture, Resurrection, and Day of Judgment. Baker worked for years with little fruit and he almost gave up, until the Holy Spirit came with power, but he never put the spiritual above the Word and searched the Scriptures to make sure what was happening agreed with the Bible. This is reflected in his books as he includes Scripture references in most chapters. Visions Beyond the Veil by H.A. Baker originally published in 1920, my copy was published in 1973. This book is amazing! The visions, the story, so amazing and incredible!

My copy from 1973

Harold Armstrong Baker (1881–1971), known as H.A. Baker, was an American author and Pentecostal missionary to Tibet from 1911 to 1919, to China from 1919 to 1950, when forced to leave the mainland, and then in Taiwan from 1955 until his death in 1971.

With his wife and co-worker Josephine, Pastor Baker began the Adullam Rescue Mission for street children in Yunnan Province, China. The children in the home, mostly boys aged from six to eighteen, began to have spiritual experiences, claiming to have seen Heaven through a series of visions. These visions were recounted in Baker's book Visions Beyond the Veil.

He was also the author of Heaven and the Angels, Plains of Glory and Gloom, The Three Worlds, Tribulation to Glory, Through Tribulation, Visions Beyond The Veil, and other books. His little known last book, written at the end of his life, was called "My Goodbye Book".
