Blessed When We are Humble, Not Prideful, Not Selling Our Souls to the Devil for all of this World!

 

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

-Matthew 16:26

As long as Uzziah sought the Lord, and minded religion, God made him to prosper. Those only prosper whom God makes to prosper; for prosperity is his gift. Many have owned, that as long as they sought the Lord, and kept close to their duty, they prospered; but when they forsook God, every thing went cross. God never continues either to bless the indolent or to withhold his blessing from the diligent. He will never suffer any to seek his face in vain. Uzziah's name was famed throughout all the neighbouring countries. A name with God and good people makes truly honourable. He did not delight in war, nor addict himself to sports, but delighted in husbandry.

I saw these two Bible verses the past few days on My Yahoo Bible verses, so nice, so fitting for today and all that is in the news today. So many, especially the elected and so called leaders all become proud, they sell their souls to the devil for money, they take bribes, that commit fraud, they are corrupt, greedy, and self-serving.  Look at our so called elected and leaders today, all compromised. They do insider trading when they are not allowed, no consequence for them, they take bribes, they sell their country and soul out for lots of money, millions for what? Do they not think of their legacy or reputation at all? There are so many slaves in our government and elected and so called leaders, they have sold their souls to Lucifer, for what? Money? Things of this world? Drugs, prostitutes, vices, alcohol, gambling, material and carnal desires? So sad that so many people today really have no morals or principles or ethics. It is so sad. They stop following God, His Commandments, the teachings of Jesus, to be people of goodwill, that is what has happened in our society. We even think abortion and killing innocent, helpless, voiceless babies is acceptable in our society, how sad. What has this world become? How many really are following God and have Jesus in them? Power corrupts! We see it today in the news and by our own so called leaders! So sad. Our country and world needs a lot of prayers, they need to find God, know Jesus, and return to His will and ways. What is our purpose and plan? God has one for us. Do you know what yours is? Do you want to go to Heaven? We need to know God and make Him know! So many people have forgotten and fallen by the wayside. These Bible verses says it all!  This world is not worth your soul! Jesus said, "store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be!" "Turn to Jesus" like all the yellow road signs say around here where I live!
