Don't Just Appear Righteous Like the Priests, Clergy, and Pharisees, But Be Righteous and Holy, Upright in our Lord, an Example Like Jesus!

Jesus said,

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites.

You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside,

but inside are full of dead men's bones and every kind of filth.

Even so, on the outside you appear righteous,

but inside you are filled with hypocrisy and evildoing.

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites.

You build the tombs of the prophets

and adorn the memorials of the righteous,

and you say, 'If we had lived in the days of our ancestors,

we would not have joined them in shedding the prophets' blood.'

Thus you bear witness against yourselves

that you are the children of those who murdered the prophets;

now fill up what your ancestors measured out!"

-Matthew 23:27-32

All week long we have seen these same messages from Matthew about the hypocrisy of the priests and pharisees. It is so true. Such hypocrites. Our priest in Vero is a perfect example of this. He cannot look at you, say hello, or even be bothered when he see you at church or out and about. Not a very good role model or example like Jesus provided for us all. It is sad. The same type of people are the ones who had Jesus murdered, crucified on a cross. It is sad. They still do the same thing today to us as their parishioners. Act so righteous, but are completely empty and sinners inside, shedding the prophets blood as spoken about above. They clutch on to power and their title and authority, are such hypocrites and do not at all follow Jesus and use Him as an example. We see it all the time, we saw it in our church, I have seen it with the TV clergy promoting books, giving donations to them and they never send the book, their are a lot of bad clergy out there, this Bible verse emphasizes how bad the pharisees can be so hypocritical! The Bible provides us with a good reminder of the wolves in sheep's clothing, we  have seen it firsthand. All we can do is pray for the priests, clergy, and pharisees, their hypocrisy, their hate, the fact that people like them ordered to have Jesus put to death! They need our prayers!
