Living for Eternity with Jesus Christ, Doing the Best on Earth School to Follow His Example! It is Not Always Easy!

Beloved: Teach and urge these things.
Whoever teaches something different
and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ
and the religious teaching
is conceited, understanding nothing,
and has a morbid disposition for arguments and verbal disputes.
From these come envy, rivalry, insults, evil suspicions,
and mutual friction among people with corrupted minds,
who are deprived of the truth,
supposing religion to be a means of gain.
Indeed, religion with contentment is a great gain.
For we brought nothing into the world,
just as we shall not be able to take anything out of it.
If we have food and clothing, we shall be content with that.
Those who want to be rich are falling into temptation and into a trap
and into many foolish and harmful desires,
which plunge them into ruin and destruction.
For the love of money is the root of all evils,
and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith
and have pierced themselves with many pains.
But you, man of God, avoid all this.
Instead, pursue righteousness, devotion,
faith, love, patience, and gentleness.
Compete well for the faith.
Lay hold of eternal life,
to which you were called when you made the noble confession
in the presence of many witnesses.

-1 Timothy 6:2c-12

Focus on the eternal life, not this one on Earth. What we came into the world, we will leave, bringing nothing with us. So many are so consumed by this world. Money, power, greedy, corruption, they will stop at nothing to get more and more. Being so evil, wicked, evil disputes, so many roots of evil. We need to stay away from that. Follow the teachings of Jesus, obey the 10 Commandments, and be a person of goodwill. It seem more and more there are less goodwilled people, but there are many. We see so much rage today on the roads, so many in stores, a lot of mental illness, people on drugs at work and all throughout our society in this narco-society we live in now.  It is sad. We even see priests ignoring and looking the other way, mistreating parishioners and the general public. Our government has become pure evil, not upholding laws, putting the safety of all at risk, allowing so much lawlessness. Nothing has any logic or common sense to it anymore. There is just so much greed and selfishness today. So many without God. No one wants the truth of God anymore. It is all very sad. We need God. We will not spend eternity here on Earth, we have to do and to go to Heaven and be with Jesus, follow His cross, deny ourselves here, not let things of this world get us down. Even when we see priests and people of authority mistreating us, not showing any respect. Yes, we witness it daily. It is hard. We need to find refuge in God alone, follow Jesus, take up our cross here, do the best we can and know that when we surrender to Jesus, He will take care of everything! Staying in constant prayer and always trying to keep the faith!
