Not Loving Things of This World! Have My Eyes and Mind Set on Heaven to Spend Eternity with Jesus!

 

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

-1 John 2:15-17

I love this Bible verse! It is so good. So true. We need to stop being consumed by things of this world. Material or carnal desires, anything of this world is not what is important. We need to have our eyes and minds set on the Heavenly world. We are Citizens of Heaven, not of this world.  This world often saddens me, it disappoints me, it makes me depressed and down knowing so many people do so much bad here, thinking it is fine to cheat, steal, commit fraud, lie, dismiss people, hate, cancel, ignore, and not be good Samaritans at all while here on this Earth School. Even priests, clergy, and people of the religious cloth do so much bad, yet they are supposed to represent Jesus, but they don't. We cannot become consumed by all the crazy things of this world. It all disappoints. Human beings will always disappoint, God never will!  All we need to do is obey God, find our strength in Him, and live for Him while here so to get into Heaven. Too many people are so prideful, so much ego, so much wokeness looking down at some. It is all so sad. We need to not let things of this world get to us. Find refuge in God, find our strength in Him and do our best we can to live an upright, holy, and godly life while here obeying the Lord, following the teachings of Jesus, and be people of goodwill!
