Only Trusting in God, Not Humans, Seeking Him, Not Treasures of this World!

 

Thus says the LORD:

Cursed is the man who trusts in human beings,

who seeks his strength in flesh,

whose heart turns away from the LORD.

He is like a barren bush in the desert

that enjoys no change of season,

But stands in a lava waste,

a salt and empty earth.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

whose hope is the LORD.

He is like a tree planted beside the waters

that stretches out its roots to the stream:

It fears not the heat when it comes,

its leaves stay green;

In the year of drought it shows no distress,

but still bears fruit.

More tortuous than all else is the human heart,

beyond remedy; who can understand it?

I, the LORD, alone probe the mind

and test the heart,

To reward everyone according to his ways,

according to the merit of his deeds.

~Jerimiah 17:5-10

We need to trust only in God. Humans always disappoint, always! I have seen it time and time again. We as humans are not God, we hurt others and disappoint. Today so many are full of hate, envy, greed, selfishness, mediocrity, humans have many issues, we are not perfect, only when we focus on God and put all our trust in Him. This Bible verse is a good one to remind us to stand firm in God alone. I often see people at the beach with metal detectors looking for lost treasure on the beaches. It is always sad for me to see that they are looking for lost treasure in hopes they can find some gold or silver or something of value. Yet how many of them go to Church and seek God? They can spend hours searching for gold on the beach, yet will not spend one hour a week going to church or praying to God. It is sad to see. God knows our hearts. He will reward us according to His ways, according to the merit of His deeds. I am putting all my trust in God alone, not in any humans. Humans disappoint, even priests, some ignore you and dismiss you, the same for elected, police, and powers that be. The only one who will never disappoint is God!
