God Listens to Us! He Wants Us to Obey Him, Not Sin, and Follow His Son Jesus!

 

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

~2 Chronicles 7:14

God wants us to humble ourselves to Him. He is listening to us! He loves us, forgives us, and has great mercy for us. He just wants us to obey Him. To follow His Ten Commandments for living, to follow the teachings of Jesus and follow Him, to be people of good will. We need to stop all the sinning and follow Jesus. Today, Rabbi Schneider spoke about how sin is so pervasive in our society today. We see it all around us. So much greed, corruption, fraud, lies, cheating, stealing, aggressive behavior, just so much crime and selfishness. He said that in modern times people today do not take sin seriously as they should. We see a lot of crime from our supposed role models, the elected, government, powers that be, and law enforcement, but often it is not what is correct or right or upright or holy. They do a lot of wicked stuff as mentioned in the Bible verse above. We all need to turn from our sin. To obey God, to follow Jesus, and know that God can heal us and our land if we seek and turn from our ways!
