Heaven and Hell Both Exist, We all Need to Decide if We will serve God or the god of Earth, Satan, Where do We want to Spend Eternity?

 

Turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord. 

- 1 Kings 11:4

We need to have all of our heart for God! All of it! Today so many worship all the money from China, power, material things, gold bars, Mercedes Benz, etc. They sell their souls to the devil, and their countries too, worshiping other God's over God Himself. King Solomon was guilty of this. We can only serve God! Not other gods, the god of Earth Satan, or material and carnal desires. Today we see most elected, powers that be, and many in our governments who are greedy, selfish, and corrupted by the power or position they hold. It is sad to see. 

The Mornings With God App said today, "The trouble was all in Solomon’s heart. It is the heart that needs watching and keeping with all diligence. A “perfect” heart does not mean a sinless heart, but a heart wholly devoted in its aim and motive to God and His service. Solomon had a corner in his heart for the Lord, and then other corners for the gods of all the other nations. The Saviour’s words are: “Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” We need to be on our guard against Solomonian religion. There is plenty of it. It abhors the preaching of the stern truths of god’s word about sin and penalty, and about holiness. It sends well–nigh everybody to heaven, and regards hell as a mere fable. It calls strict Christians “puritanic” or “strait–laced.” It calls great sins “escapades,” and finds no use for such psalms as the fifty–first. It is not hard to see in this verse, however, which of the two kinds of religion pleases God best, and which leads to the best end."

This message today from the Mornings with God App was a good reminder. Who will we serve? God or Satan? Money or God? Jesus or power? Sex, carnal desires, and material things or our Lord?  It is true, we need to be on our guard against Solomonian religion, we cannot have it both ways! We need to take sin more seriously and stop it and follow Jesus. We need to obey God and His Commandments and the teachings of Jesus. We need to be people of goodwill doing what is right and putting God first over everything else and only worship God! Don't ever turn your heart away from God!
