Being a Christ Follower Will Stir Opposition, But Know What Your Priorities Are!

 

There arose no small stir about that way. 

- Acts 19:23

We need to realize that because of our faith and following Jesus will always cause some to stir up against you. There may be opposition when you share or practice your faith. The name of Jesus really seems to bother some, especially the ones who are slaves for Satan. They do not like God, Jesus, or you praying or saying the St. Michael the Archangel Prayer, it bothers people. However, you need to stand firm in your faith and stir up all as Christ's disciples to join forces for good verses evil. Where do you want to go Heaven or hell? Do you choose life and Heaven or sin and hell? We all need to care! 

Today the Mornings with God App had a nice reminder about how our faith in God and following Jesus may cause opposition as many never want you to talk about God, Jesus, the Bible or your religion anymore. The App today said, "Wherever the gospel goes it wakes up opposition. Especially when it touches men’s business adversely does it excite their worst passions. Here it was the silversmith’s business that was imperiled. The harangue of Demetrius shows that Paul’s preaching was of the right kind. Some preaching does not disturb sin nor alarm sinners. But Paul’s stirred up those who heard it. He denounced idols – said they were not gods. This frightened the silversmiths, for their chief business was in making shrines of Diana. A good test of a revival is when it touches the sins of a community, and draws people from them. About the sanest man in Ephesus that day was the town clerk. He was a loyal believer in Diana, but he had sense enough to know that it would be foolish to do any harm to the missionaries. The preachers had said nothing against their goddess, they had only preached their own religion, and to harm them would only bring trouble upon those who did it."

Live with your conviction of Christ in your heart! Follow Him and reflect Him in all you do! Obey the Ten Commandments, the teachings of Jesus, be people of goodwill, do not feel bad expressing your love and convictions for Christ even if you face opposition from the slaves for Satan, know where you are going and what is most important, Heaven!
