It is not great things that make humans great in heaven’s sight, it is the love that is in what they do!

Whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name... he shall not lose his reward.

We need to do all in the name of Jesus Christ! It is not great things that make humans great in heaven’s sight,  it is the love that is in what they do! We are called to serve. To be disciples, to spread the good word, to be lights to others in this world. We are called to serve! To love one another. To give that cup of water. That extra coin in the collection basket, that hand we can lend in service to others. We are called to serve! 

The Mornings With God App today said something nice today about service, "Jesus set up three monuments in His Gospels.  One was to the widow who gave the two mites. Another was to the woman who anointed His head and feet, the story of whose deed is enshrined in the Gospels. The other is the one referred to here – the person who gives the cup of cold water to a disciple in the Master’s name. It is not great things that make men great in heaven’s sight – it is the love that is in what they do. The least act of kindness done in Christ’s name is greater than the building of a city for personal glory. Jesus loved children. He is always the children’s friend. He tells us that no crime is greater than causing a little child to stumble. Heaven is always on the children’s side. The cry of a wronged child is heard in heaven. The children’s angels have special and immediate access into God’s presence at all times. Whoever else may have to wait God’s pleasure any day, children are always admitted promptly."

Jesus wants us to serve. I have been blessed to be a teacher for 38 years, serving and giving to others. Helping other people learn, learn about math and learning about how to teach it. It has been a blessing. My entire career has been a blessing to love and serve and share with others. Not only do we teach math, but we teach others how to live and be. To be kind, loving, positive, joyful, behaving like Jesus the best we can. We are called to follow Jesus, to reflect, and imitate Him, a big part of life is giving, serving others, being a disciple for Him, to do all in love! We are called, it is all part of the process to getting into Heaven! We all need to do love!
