Let us celebrate the feast, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth!

 

Brothers and sisters:

It is widely reported that there is immorality among you,

and immorality of a kind not found even among pagans–

a man living with his father’s wife.

And you are inflated with pride.

Should you not rather have been sorrowful?

The one who did this deed should be expelled from your midst.

I, for my part, although absent in body but present in spirit,

have already, as if present,

pronounced judgment on the one who has committed this deed,

in the name of our Lord Jesus:

when you have gathered together and I am with you in spirit

with the power of the Lord Jesus,

you are to deliver this man to Satan

for the destruction of his flesh,

so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.

Your boasting is not appropriate. 

Do you not know that a little yeast leavens all the dough?

Clear out the old yeast, so that you may become a fresh batch of dough,

inasmuch as you are unleavened.

For our Paschal Lamb, Christ, has been sacrificed.

Therefore, let us celebrate the feast,

not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness,

but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

We need to speak truth to power today! With all the greed, corruption, fraud, deceit, lies, selfishness, and mediocrity, a lot from our own elected and government and powers that be. The truth seems to hurt them. It is a complete embarrassment on both sides of our elected, they are not at all fiscally responsible at all with all the astronomical debt they have incurred on the people. They are greedy and selfish, self-serving, they put themselves and their interests first over the country and people they represent. It is so sad to see. We have a dual system of justice and so much political persecution today in our country and around the world. The wicked and evil seem to be winning, so much malice, they have become slaves for Satan and just keep doing so much to hurt all. They do not take sin seriously, overlooking it, making excuses for it, like killing innocent babies in the womb, some care more about saving rescue dogs than they do about saving babies. It is a sin. We need to all speak truth to power today. This Bible verse touches on this too. Look what they did to Jesus, they were afraid of Him, so they had an innocent man murdered, put to death, but God rose Him again, He will do the same for all who are righteous and obey His Commandments, who follow Jesus, trying to reflect and imitate Him.  The truth seems to hurt a lot today, especially our governments who lie and deceive so much, like Jesus did, we still need to speak truth to power, we are promised a feast in Heaven with Jesus when we follow Him with such sincerity and truth that He spoke! Remain focused on the truth in Jesus Christ!
