I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God!

 

A CONFEDERATE SOLDIER'S PRAYER

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve;
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health, that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.
I asked for riches, that I might be happy;
I was given poverty, that I might be wise.
I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life;
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am among all men most richly blessed.

I read this prayer today in a book called, The Miracle of Therapy by Georgina Rodiger.  I thought it was so nice to be reminded of all that God does for us! He knows! He knows what we need and when we need it. We are blessed, all of us, just look for those blessings. Turn it all over to God. Let go and let God! Let His will be done in our lives. He knows, it is all His timing, it is always perfect. God knows what we need. He is our everything, our leader, doctor, psychologist, He is our God! All things are possible through Him! He knows, what we need and when we need it. We need God! We all have lessons to be learned in life, this Earth School journey will bring many lessons, lessons from God, life an abandoned life for God, follow Jesus, be His example, let His will be done and your life will be richly blessed!
