Live above the level of mediocrity!

We need live above the level of mediocrity in this life on our Earth School journey! In a book, Living Above the Level of Mediocrity By: Charles R. Swindoll, he talks about how as humans we are called for something greater, to soar like eagles and live above the mediocrity.  We see a lot of mediocrity today from so many on so many levels, from our government and their errors, corruption, and dysfunction, to workmates who disappoint or never follow through, to friends, family, siblings, and loved ones who cannot be bothered or ignore and abandon you. We see a lot of mediocrity today in almost all we do in life. However, like with what Swindoll says, we need to rise above the mediocrity. When you are ignored, love them anyway, when you are ill treated or someone has bad manners, love them anyway. We need to learn to love and forgive anyway, not fall into the same mediocrity that they practiced. I know I always try to be kind and loving to all, sending cards, calling, texting, emailing, show concern, praying for others so much, sending gifts and checking in, but many do not reciprocate, that cannot even write back to say, "thank you" when you show an interest or care for them. You send a happy birthday wish to a family member, and they never even write back to say thank you. You send a card and gift to a friend, they never even acknowledge or thank you. You receive a gift from someone and you write and text back, they never even respond when you text them. We live in such a cancel culture today, so many just dismiss kindness, they show no education or manners and never respond back. Even we have had a priest who we went to that church and would see him at church and at our gym, he would completely ignore us and avoid or not be bothered with us. We stopped going to this church, about three month later he asked us if we still went to his church, we said no, he was livid and not nice, we just said we found a better church and priest, one with more love and kindness. We all need to rise above the mediocrity, even priests, governments, family, siblings, friends, and coworkers. Our society and morals have declined considerably for sure over the past twenty years of so, it is noticeable. We have become an apathetic society, ignoring, dismissing, avoiding, and employing cancel culture on others, it is sad to see, but this is unacceptable, it is not the standard God wants for us, we are called to follow Jesus, to reflect and imitate Him! To love like Him! Not hate, dismiss, and cancel people, or ignore them and behave less than how we were made. If we have fallen into this level, it is not good. We need to rise above it, insist on quality living, love others, show manners, display your education, be kind, and have respect for all, we all have a choice, we can live with apathy and cancel culture, or we can live with love for all, and forgiveness, mercy, and compassion for them, responding back, doing what is right! It is all about doing what is right. Don't do what most do, ignore or dismiss, show love, say thank you, write back, show you can, love anyway!  We need to care enough to do what is right! And only then will we be living well! Soar like an eagle!  [coincidently, the name of my first book! -Living Well, Caring Enough to do What is Right.]
