The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked!
The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.
—Proverbs 10:11
When you live upright and righteous, when you strive to live like Jesus and not sin, when you work at it and be that example, you can be a real fountain of life for others and the world. Like it says though, violence can overwhelm the mouth of the wicked. Today we see a lot of wicked, foul mouthed too, so many use so many swear words and have such filthy mouths today, they do not honor themselves, others or God when they talk this way. I hear it a lot all over, by neighbors, colleagues, at the gym, all over, it is not pleasant to be around for sure. Just like some thinking it is fine to be aggressive, drive recklessly, or act violently, hateful, and deranged. All which is so unacceptable today. We need to be love, to be more like Jesus, love always wins over hate. I have resolved to not surround myself with haters or negative people, to be around hate or violence, to be holy and more like Jesus, while it is not always easy, and there are a lot of slaves for Satan who are tempting and testing all the time, you just need to be careful not to fall for things of this world or people who will disappoint. Try to be as saintly as possible, sinning not, praying for others, loving all, and counting your blessings and loving God all you can!
I am enjoying some new websites this year since My.Yahoo closed down, one of them is: https://www.verseoftheday.com/
They had a nice Bible verse and write-up today, called, Thoughts on Today's Verse..., they said,
"Do you want to know the difference between a righteous person and a wicked one? Simple! Jesus said to check the fruit of their life. One of the most visible forms of fruit in peoples' lives is found in the way they talk, how they talk, and their empathy as they talk. Righteous people find ways to impart life through what they say. The wicked reveal themselves by what they say and how they say it. In a social-media-dominated world filled with vitriol, sarcasm, and bitterness, this is a prover we must heed!"
Each day at all moments, we need to be aware of our thought, our actions, our every being, to be righteous, to be holy, to be as saintly as we can be. We are called to heed God's calling to be more like Jesus each and everyday the best we can so we can be fountains of life!
