Life is a more perilous ocean than the Atlantic!
But if ye shall at all turn from following Me, ... then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them.
- 1 Kings 9:6-7
Living on this Earth School journey as adults is hard to do. Yes, life is a more perilous ocean than the Atlantic! It really is so true. When we are children, we have our parents and family, all are looking out for us and taking care of us, shielding us from any problems. So many of us have wonderful childhood memories. Many people have had great pasts and childhoods. Plus growing up going to church and know Jesus always helps a lot. I was texting with my niece today for her birthday and telling her how I had fond memories of her growing up and we all had so much fun together. She agreed, she said it is so hard now as an adult and the world is in such turmoil and there are so many problems, it really is hard. She asked for my prayers. We all are going through problems in life, it is never easy for anyone, but when we have God, it does get easier. When we follow Jesus, our model and example given to us from God, life can be a lot easier for us. We need God, He can help us in this perilous ocean called life. He is our strength and refuge and who we need to turn to as our guide and savior. Like it says below from the Mornings with God App, "you must live first and win your crown on life’s battlefields. Life is full of dangers, but there is One who can guard us from stumbling and present us faultless before God in the end." It is Jesus!
The Mornings With God App today said, "Life is a more perilous ocean than the Atlantic. People talk about the fears of death, but living has greater terrors than dying. In Miss Procter’s poem, a child asks, “What is life, father?” and the answer is that life is a battle where many fail and fall. Then the child asks, “What is death, father?” When she learns that death is the rest that comes after the struggle, she says, “Let me die, father; I fear to live.” But the wise response is, “You must live first and win your crown on life’s battlefields.” Life is full of dangers, but there is One who can guard us from stumbling and present us faultless before God in the end. We only need Christ as our Friend, and He will bring us safely through every peril. Without Him, we will never make it home. A tourist in the Alps once refused a guide, saying he could manage on his own. But he never returned."
God is our strength! What a blessing! I honestly do not know how anyone lives without God or Jesus in their lives. I know I couldn't, I would be a mess. Jesus gives me so much peace. I see so many today, so troubled, so many problems, distraught, depressed, angry, unhappy, completely deranged and full of hate and despair, they usually never have God, they try to live without Jesus, the Bible, church, and God in their lives. We need God! When we have Him, our lives are always so much better! You see it in happy loving people, they have God, they know how to turn trouble, fear, and dismay into peace and paradise. Most unhappy people lack God and Jesus in their lives. All people need God, Jesus really does bring us so much peace, He is our strength and refuge as we go about on this Earth School journey, this perilous ocean outing! It is all about faith in the Lord! Life can be a perilous sea without God! We all need Jesus! Jesus I trust in You!
