I always loved this song. When I lived in Mexico City as a teacher I heard it in the early 90's. I fell in love with it. I was obsessed with this song. I bought the cassette and listened to it all the time. I loved when they played it in the clubs. The song is really dancy and fun, so much pep to it. I love it, even today! It is great in Spanish. The singer is from Argentina and this was a big hit for him. It was all the rage in Mexico when I lived there. I like that it mentions God and talks about fate: Obsession, obsession A mockery of fate Put you in my path That's why, obsession, obsession When you're not with me. God really does bring people together. I know with me and my spouse it was God's perfect timing. It was God! No coincidence at all. If I had left the house 5 minutes before or after I did, I would never have met my spouse on a jog, where I collided with on my jog with their bike. God's timing is perfect and I am so grateful for that and this song and God in my life bringing me where I need to be. My obsession now is God in my life, living for Jesus, doing my best to follow, reflect, and imitate Him, when doing my best to live a righteous and upright life of love for Him making life eternal in Heaven with Jesus my ultimate goal!
