Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth!
R. (33a) Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth.
or:
R. Alleluia.
A bountiful rain you showered down, O God, upon your inheritance;
you restored the land when it languished;
Your flock settled in it;
in your goodness, O God, you provided it for the needy.
R. Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth.
or:
R. Alleluia.
Blessed day by day be the Lord,
who bears our burdens; God, who is our salvation.
God is a saving God for us;
the LORD, my Lord, controls the passageways of death.
R. Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth.
or:
R. Alleluia.
~Psalm 68:10-11, 20-21
Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth! I just love David's Psalms! This one is a nice reminder for all of us to sing praises to God all the Earth! This Psalm reminded me how I feel today too after the rains: "A bountiful rain you showered down, O God, upon your inheritance; you restored the land when it languished; Your flock settled in it; in your goodness, O God, you provided it for the needy." We have had so much rain now, a real blessing after such a drought and dry spell. Everything is so nice and green now, thank God! God is so good to all of us! All of us! Just some never look to see all the goodness God brings them. We need to count our blessings! We need to sing His praises, be joyful in the Lord! Today so many forget to do this. They live for this world, not God's, recall our home is in Heaven with Jesus, not this world. We need to live for Jesus, to follow, reflect, imitate, and love like Him! Today we see a lot of people, they have so much hate in their hearts, they hate others based on the President, political views, religion, etc. Hate is hate and is unacceptable. We need to become and learn like John did, one of the most favored by Jesus, who also learned a lot about love from Jesus, it is all about love and we need to love over hate, know that we are not from this world, and if we want to go home to Heaven to be with Jesus, we need to love while we are here! I always say, we need to pray, to count our blessings, to be positive, loving, and joyful in the Lord. While this is hard, we need to do our best, to fall into a profound love that Jesus had, and be more like Him! David wrote these Psalms as He loved the Lord and wanted to sing His praises, He wanted all of us to know it is not about us, it is about God, we need to sing His praises, all kingdoms of the Earth! Thank you God for everything!
