Even if.....My hope is still in you alone! We need to remember that even if things do not work out how we wanted, or we are put into a fire, or tested, hurt, disappointed, or mistreated, our hope always needs to be in the Lord! I love this song and the reminder here, thank you for this song and your discipleship. What great words to live by in this day and age. It is well with my soul when I put all my trust in the Lord! I know in my own life I have had some real challenges like all people, from a small child and a fall, to never really doing great in school, more so because I didn't try, but did when I applied myself when I went to college. Some thought I would never amount to much, but I ended up becoming a teacher and then a professor, winning teaching awards, publishing over 100+ peer-reviewed publications, doing so much service work and always receiving excellent evaluations, I did a lot. Who knew I would get accepted into a doctoral program? Who knew I would become an assistant, associate, and full professor and write a book and so many papers? Who knew I would meet all the challenges in my family, identity, marriage, living abroad, being cancelled and hated for my religion or who I supported politically, it is all sad to see, especially all the hate today, but I put my trust in God, I know He knows my name and has been there to get me to do so much for Him like writing this blog today doing my share of discipleship so people also know Jesus and can love like I do. I have never understood hate, crime, or war, they all come from sin like Billy Graham writes about, just so true. We need to trust in God, have great faith, have hope in the Lord always, knowing His will be done is the best thing for me and my life! My hope is in God alone! I know and have experienced the disappointment and hate of humans, I know God and Jesus are all about love, therefore, my hope is in Him! Each day when I pray I always ask for greater hope, faith, trust, and to believe in God for all! That is all that really matters! Yes, I know the sorrow and hurt, but it will all go away when we put our hope in God! My hope is in you alone! You have been faithful and good all my days! Jesus, I will cling to you, come what may!
