We should aim to be good soil, ready to receive the Word of God and let it grow and bear fruit in our lives. God’s words are heavenly seeds, and when they grow, they produce the fruits of righteousness!

The farmer sows the word.

 ~Mark 4:14

I love the idea that we as humans should aim to be good soil, ready to receive the Word of God and let it grow and bear fruit in our lives. God’s words are heavenly seeds, and when they grow, they produce the fruits of righteousness. That should be our goal. To be like Jesus, the example and model God gave us to follow. We are to imitate, reflect, forgive, and love like Jesus, to produce much good fruit!

The Mornings With God App today said, "What happens to all the sermons we hear? The parable of the Sower helps us understand. Only the seed sown on good soil produced a harvest. The seed sown on three other kinds of ground failed to grow. It’s the same with God’s Word. Some of it never even enters the heart—it’s snatched away immediately. Some starts to grow but has shallow roots, and it withers when temptations or challenges come. Some seed gets a good start, but the distractions of life—worries, riches, and pleasures—choke it out before it can mature. We should aim to be good soil, ready to receive the Word of God and let it grow and bear fruit in our lives. God’s words are heavenly seeds, and when they grow, they produce the fruits of righteousness." Found at: https://www.youdevotion.com/mornings/august/27

I love the Mornings with God App. I try to read it daily. It has good messages and Bible verses. It is good seeds that can come into me to help me to produce more good fruit in my life. God's word always does, like it says here. We need God! We need His word, to heed it and follow Jesus, to be like Him if we are really going to produce much good fruit for Him in this world so to guarantee life eternal in Heaven with Jesus!  We need to know that Heaven changes everything!
