I agree, I am unashamed too of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Thank you for this song and your discipleship! I love this message and feel the same way. Especially now with all that is going on in the world. The assassination of Charlie Kirk was an assault on all Christians. It was sad to see, all the hate, TDS, and demonic forces at work, people with demons and unclean spirits committing evil acts out of hate, TDS, envy, jealousy, insecurity, and demons. We need God! But so many today are living without God or Jesus, they have unclean spirits living with demons committing so much hate, crime, killings, all just such pure evil, like what we say on 9/11, to Charlie Kirk, or the poor young lady murdered on the train in NC. It is all such a sin. We all need to pray! Bring people to Jesus! Clean all these people of their unclean spirits and hate, in the name of Jesus, may our country and world be transformed into upright and holy people doing good for humanity. We all need to be unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and spread the word, help others to know Jesus and be more like Him as we go about on this Earth School journey. We need to let others know of God's promise that if we follow Jesus, if we love, forgive, reflect, and imitate Him, we are promised life eternal in Heaven with Jesus!
This song and a reading from Our Daily Bread Ministries the other day both talk about being unashamed of your faith in Jesus. Our Daily Bread is nice, they send/email/mail nice prayers for each day of the year for us to read and reflect on, this was from the other day from what they sent, they said, "Unashamed for Jesus
Do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord. 2 Timothy 1:8
Before he was martyred for his steadfast faith in Jesus, an African minister whose name has not been preserved penned “A Martyr’s Prayer.” This profound message from another era has become known as “The Fellowship of the Unashamed.”
This pastor’s words present a challenge to all believers in Jesus—a challenge that echoes the words of the apostle Paul, who wrote in his letter to his young friend Timothy: “Do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord” (2 Timothy 1:8) because the Holy Spirit gives us “power, love and self-discipline” (v. 7).
Here, in part, is what that faithful African pastor wrote: “I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of [Jesus] and I won’t back up, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed. My present makes sense. My future is secure. . . . I live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by the Holy Spirit’s power.”
Both Timothy and that pastor faced difficulties we may never experience, but their words challenge us to stand strong when our faith is tested. We can remain unashamed because God “is able to guard what [we] have entrusted to him” (v. 12)—our lives and our future. By Dave Branon
What gives you courage to be unashamed for Christ? How can you follow the examples of others who were unashamed of the gospel?
Dear God, You promised that the Holy Spirit gives us power. Please help me to stand up for You and be unashamed in all kinds of situations."
I really liked this message and prayer! I also love the song! We are called to be disciples for Christ! To live unashamed of our belief in Jesus Christ! In times today where so many Christians are persecuted for their faith in God and following Jesus, we need to unite in our faith to have our Divine Just Judge Jesus come back and make all right again. Believe in Him and the promise God made us for Heaven when we follow Him! That is why I do this blog, I feel it is a calling from God to do, to bring others to Christ. We are all called! I love Christian music, I listen to it daily. I read the Bible and my prayers and messages like this one from Our Daily Bread, and I think they help to make me a better person in Christ! Please never be ashamed of your belief in Jesus Christ! Follow Him, forgive, reflect, imitate, and love like Him! https://themiraclesofgod.blogspot.com/
