A candy cane was really a J, it stands for Jesus, the white shows His purity, the red, the blood He shed for our sins! My friend Kathy gave me this candy cane today when I went to the Main Street Thrift Store, run by the Methodist Church in Downtown Sebastian. It is the best thrift store in the county in my opinion. They are so kind here and have such fair prices, some very nice people work here like Kathy, Bud, Kathy, Virginia, and Teddy. I loved this message about the candy cane. I had seen it before, but forgot, I never knew this, but thought it was so nice and reassuring, this candy cane was really created into a J for Jesus. Like it says above, the white stands for the purity of Jesus, He was sinless. The red represents the blood Jesus shed for all our sins. We are forgiven. All of us! The nest time you see a candy cane, turn it around, see the J, think of Jesus, remember that Jesus is the reason for the season and Christmas! He is our King and Savior. He is the King of the universe and our Savior! He is the Savior of the world! God gave Him to us! He is Emmanuel, God with us, God gave us Jesus as our model, our example of how to live. We are called to follow Jesus, to reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! With great faith when we follow Jesus we are promised life eternal in Heaven with Him! What a blessing that God brought us Jesus! Our Savior and King! Thank you Jesus, Heaven changes everything!
