Magnifying the Lord Blessed: The voice of Mary shows gratitude, prayerfulness, and humility!

Mary said:
“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;
my spirit rejoices in God my savior.
for he has looked upon his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
and has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.”
Mary remained with Elizabeth about three months
and then returned to her home.

~Luke 1:46-56

Blessed: The voice of Mary shows gratitude, prayerfulness, and humility as she magnifies God! This Bible verse and mass reading today in preparation for Christmas and the birth of her son Jesus, Mary speaks with so much humility. I love Mary's song! We do not hear a lot from Mary in the Bible. She is meek and humble, always willing to do the will of God as His servant or handmaid. Mary really speaks so positively about God here and His love for all of us and how we need to magnify His greatness and glory. She shows so much gratitude, prayerfulness, and humility, she knows she is blessed by God! Mary speaks of how God lifts up the lowly! Mary said that God has mercy on those who fear Him in every generation! God does great things for those who are humble and meek, lowly, and faithful in the Lord. We need to be more like Mary, to be grateful, to pray, and pray for others, to be positive, loving, and joyful in the Lord like she is in this Bible verse in Luke! Prayer, gratitude, and humility are real qualities that Mary shows us all in her great faith in God! Mary knows that God is merciful, He will lift up those like Mary who are willing to do His will! Magnify the Lord!
